TUITION FEE WAIVER SCHEME
TUITION FEE WAIVER SCHEME FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-26
The ITRs submitted for this year’s Tuition Fee Waiver may also be used for shortlisting students for other schemes, scholarships, financial assistance, or awards funded by private or public organizations for the Academic Year 2025-26.

Under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, a student gets his/her tuition fee waived off as per the following criteria.

• Full Tuition Fee Waiver -Given to the most economically backward students having their Gross Annual family income (before any deduction/ exemption under the provision of income tax) less than ₹ 1,00,000 per annum during current assessment year (2025-26).

• 2/3 Tuition Fee Waiver -Given to the economically backward students having their Gross Annual family income (before any deduction/ exemption under the provision of income tax)in the range ₹ 1,00,000 -₹ 5,00,000 per annum during current assessment year (2025-26).
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is available only for the normal duration of the programme. For dual degree programmes, it is available only up to the 4th year.

ELIGIBILITY
To avail Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, a student is expected to fulfil the following conditions:
• Applicant belongs to General OR General (EWS) OR OBC category.
• Applicant is a student of B.Tech., B.Arch., Integrated Dual Degree (IDD), Integrated Master of Technology (IMT), Integrated Master of Science (IMS), and BS-MS programmes admitted through JEE (Advanced).
• Gross Income of parents (Father and Mother or Guardian) for the assessment year (2025-26) is not more than Rs. 5,00,000/-.
Note: As per item no. 72.9 of minutes of 72nd Senate Meeting the Gross Income of parents should be considered in tuition fee waiver scheme, MCM Scholarship and Fee Messing Schemes. Senate Item
• Further, Gross Income means Gross Total Income i.e. income before any deduction/ exemption under the provisions of income tax.

SELECTION PROCESS
The following procedure will be adopted to select the deserving student for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:
• The SCSP office will invite the applications from the students via google form.
• The SCSP office will verify the details and documents submitted of each applicant.
• The Defective/incomplete applications will be kept on hold for correction from students' side within a given duration.
•The SCSP Office will also verify that the student is not awarded the similar scheme from some other source.
• The SCSP office will notify the list of students eligible to avail Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme.

MANDATORY DOCUMENTS
To apply under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, the following documents are mandatory to submit:
• Pan Cards of Father, Mother and Guardian (if applicable)
• Aadhar Cards of Father, Mother and Guardian (if applicable)
• Income Tax Return (ITR) Forms of Father, Mother and Guardian (if applicable) (current assessment year)
• In Income Tax Return following pages are required:
1. 1st page of ITR Form showing information of tax payer
2. Page of ITR form showing Gross Total Income.
3. Acknowledgement receipt of ITR (ITR-V)
Combine above 3 pages in a single pdf and upload it in Google form ITR sample

Student need to upload a Declaration in the Google Form with self and his/her parent’s signature. Student wouldn’t be considered eligible for Tuition Fee Waiver if he/she doesn’t upload the declaration form.
